No Work, All Play!

We watched the Super Bowl live on Monday morning at 8:00 am. We were still able to watch the game with friends because everybody got the day off work! I know you are all jealous of that one. It was a little different watching the game in the morning without the usual pizza, chips and dip, but we made up for it by having a deeeeelicious breakfast. We made omelets in ziploc bags. Sounds weird but they were yummy, we made 6 at a time, and there's no mess to clean up. I wasn't able to get an "after" picture since they got scarfed down so fast but here's the "before" picture.
Besides the disappointing loss, we didn't get to see any of the Super Bowl commercials, just the usual cheesy military commercials that come on every day. Randy and I will be watching the ads on myspace later on tonight.
How big a fan are you? Would you watch the Super Bowl if you couldn't watch the commercials?

  1. The commercials are what MAKE the superbowl! :)
We did a search on ads this evening and cruised through 'em - fun to watch!

  2. It's a sad day today in NE. They had to cancel all the celebrations, and our dejected team is no longer undefeated. Even the weather is gloomy.
p.s. I love the omelet idea.

  3. If I weren't in Hawaii I think I'd be a lot more upset about the Pats lost...big bummer!
I'm going to try the Zip-loc omelets. I followed the link and they look really good. I like that you can tailor each omelet and then cook up to 8 at a time.

  4. I saw them do that omelet thing in the plastic bags on the Food Network once. I wondered if they really turned out good. Now I know! :) We had now Superbowl party this year. My kids were sick. Boo hoo. I watched a few commercials and then got in the bath and Matt watched the rest alone.
