Stitched Up

Yesterday Ethan's head took on the trampoline and the trampoline won. The 1-inch gash took out most of his eyebrow so I requested a plastic surgeon in the hopes that Ethan would recover with 2 eyebrows instead of one. Ethan did great through the procedure and we were done in record time. However, Ethan had a hard time recovering from the medication. Two hours later he was breathing without oxygen and we were on our way home. Our first son with stitches and Randy missed it all. (He was jogging along the East China Sea oblivious to his frantic wife calling every five minutes from the other side of the world.) After the surgeon finished up, he informed me he wasn't carried by Tri-Care. He did the surgery for free and thanked us for serving in the military. What a great guy! Maybe someday we'll return to Utah and Randy can return the favor by giving him a free root canal.

  2. So glad that he is OK! My dad got stitches and his eyebrow is uneven ... kind of interrupted... but it gives him character.
How was (is?) your trip? Looking forward to photos.

  7. I decide to check to see if you had posted anything about your trip and sure enough! Can Ethan go through anything else? That poor kid as seen how many doctors in the last 6 months? Well we are excited to have you guys back soon. I've had enough of my boys asking to play with Marcus and Ethan. We can't wait to see you!
