In a Nutshell

Our 3 weeks in the States were a blast. While we were there, Marcus turned 4, Ethan saw real snow, and I shopped. Our first impressions as we arrived back to the motherland were: America is dirty, and Americans are overweight. Don't be offended by that. Compared to the Japanese, I'm considered obese.
As we were driving along on the RIGHT side of the road (at a speed 50 kph faster than we're used to) Marcus said, "Wow! Grandma and Grandpa live in the desert!"
Obviously living in the jungle has changed his perspective.

  1. Bryn saw the picture of Marcus and said, "can't he live with us again someday; can't he be our neighbor?"

  2. I love the tie Marcus has on. Very handsome. You are a brave soul for flying with two kids by yourself. You deserve a day at the spa! :)

  3. I love your insight and the kids insight of the U.S. Its always interesting when you spent some time outside the U.S how our insight changes. Glad you enjoyed your trip home.
