Oki Traditions

These guys are playing the Taiko drum and it's about a hundred billion degrees outside. I don't know how the tradition came about but I do know it is super cool. These drums are played at all the different festivals throughout the year so we have found ourselves going to sleep to the distant sounds of the Taiko drum on many nights.

I with I knew what these ladies were saying because they sound like they mean it.
