We had a great beach day on a small island that's only a few miles wide. The snorkeling was amazing and I survived my first encounter with a poisonous sea snake. Luckily it was swimming around in a tide pool so it was easy to escape.
Most of the boys never even got in the water. They were too busy climbing around in the caves and exploring the beach. It reminded me of the book Lord of the Flies where a bunch of boys are stranded on an island without any parents.
Ok, now THAT looks like the kind of day we should have had at the beach in Oregon. Beauteous. I love how casual you are about encountering a poisonous sea snake. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I would have been freaking out in a big way.
