Our New Routine
Life is finally a little less chaotic now that Marcus is going to preschool 3 days a week while we're here in Utah. His teacher heard about our situation and isn't even charging me for it. Playing the cancer card is finally good for something, I guess. Marcus is so anxious to leave he waits outside in the freezing cold for 10-15 minutes for his ride to come.
Cancer Update
My mom had tests done to see if the first 2 rounds of chemo were affective. The stomach cancer is slightly smaller and her liver is doing much better. However, it's terminal cancer so there's no end to the chemo until her body can't take it anymore. The miracle is that she takes chemo like a champ so the more chemo she can do the longer she'll be with us. It looks like chemo treatments are part of our permanent routine.

ReplyDeleteMel, This is Brook Bingham, do you remember me? I am Mollies cousin. Just found your blog from hers. Read through some past posts and am so sorry to hear about recent trials. I was paticularly touched by the post about clubs. You are in another club that I have been thinking about a lot lately. The one for people who have felt tragedy that changes their lives forever. I am starting to see that the change isn't always for the bad, as I am sure you already know. But life is such a trip, isn't it? Good to read your words and feel your strength. You are inspirational to me.
ReplyDeleteWe're thinking about you and hope you are relishing your time in Utah!
