Bring on the Slaves....I Mean Kids!

I have come to appreciate my boys for new reasons lately.

Reason #1--We were at the park when it was a billion degrees so I sat in the shade, fanning myself, when Ethan requested a push on the swings. No problem, I thought. And with the snap of my fingers Marcus was up for the task.

Reason #2--I had a sink full of dishes and Ethan has a love for playing with bubbles which is a perfect combination when he needs to be entertained and I need the dishes washed.

Reason #3--Marcus is old enough and strong enough to push the vacuum. I took this picture while I was sitting on the couch eating BonBons (not really).

Reason #4--We've had a TON of rain lately which means we have a TON of frogs which means sleeping with ear plugs is required if we want any sleep. My boys have mastered the art of catching tadpoles and dumping them down the sewer drain, thus helping control the frog population. I even got the neighbor girls to join in on the fun while I (you guessed it) sat in a chair fanning myself.

  1. I'm a firm believer in child slave labor, even when I'm not pregnant. Way to put 'em to work!

oh ya, I love my little slaves!
Liv is at the age where she will help, but doesn't like it. Gavin on the other hand thinks it's cool to do what I tell him. YES!

  4. That's why Justin and I had kids, so we could sit back relax and boss them around! :)

  5. LOL!! I love this! No sooner time to start than NOW! Get them nice and practiced up for when the baby comes. Then you can sit on the couch, watch soap operas, AND eat those bon bons! Hahahahahaha!

PS ... do they do laundry? :)
