The rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the sun shone brightly in the sky.  This means only one thing around here:  Stop what you're doing and get outside, fast!  The fall leaves are beautiful here so Ethan, Landon, and I went on a leaf-peeping adventure.  No need to drive out to the countryside or through the nearest canyon.  We saw plenty of colors right on our street.

Our walk took us to the lake with lots of hungry ducks and yes, we are lucky to have a lake at the end of our street.

Bean scored--Blackberries!  "Delicious and free."

Landon miraculously didn't fall in the lake.  Success!

  1. The leaves are absolutely beautiful! Great pictures!
Those blackberries are like GOLD ... we used to pick them (because they grow like weeds) and make jam. So glad you had some sunshine.

  3. Beautiful!!! There aren't great fall colors here in Pensacola but I went up to Birmingham to my Sister's and it was really pretty. I realized I had not seen fall colors for four years.
