We celebrated Marcus's unexpected* day off from school by meeting Randy for lunch at
Blue C Sushi. It's a sushi-go-round and the food is almost as good as the real deal in Japan. Marcus pigged out on four plates of sushi, then declared,
"I want to go back to Japan so I can eat sushi whenever I want!"
*I never check the school calendar so I didn't know he had two days off for conferences.
Luckily my neighbors informed me the day before
or we would've been waiting a long time for the school bus the next morning.
Yay Marcus - I couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteSince Japan, sushi has become my comfort food!
We're landlocked so good sushi is not readily available or cheap, but we're still looking. Glad you found a little treasure!
Okinawa withdrawals will not be fun. I think I'm going to have more culutre shock moving back than I did moving here. In the meantime, we'll eat some sushi for you. Happy to hear you had a piece of home. Good job staying Japanese. We miss you!

Loving the amount of silly bands on Marcus' wrist. And I love that your boys are so well rounded.
