Love and Romance

outside the theater on our very romantic date
After my boys played chicken on the farm tractors I knew I had to see Footloose so I called a babysitter and thus our romantic date night was born.  I loved the movie and I'm pretty sure I had a big grin on my face through the whole thing.  Speaking of love. . .

My little sister is getting married!  Hallelujah!
This makes the 3rd wedding in my family in one year.  First my dad, then Greg, and now Alicia.  But this is no big deal for our family since way back in the day my other two sisters and I all got married within a month of each other.  What can I say?  We like to do things together.  But let me tell you, carrying out the wedding plans without my mom is absolutely heart-wrenching.  I have cried more this past week than I have in the past several months combined.  But I am so happy for Alicia.  Dan is awesome, normal, and he speaks Italian so we're already planning their trip to Italy to visit us.  This Christmas is going to be full of wedding bells and jingle bells.  Love it!
