We have a TON of Legos, mostly of the Star Wars variety. I decided it was time to pull out the instruction manuals and build as many sets as possible, after I sorted all the pieces by color. We quickly worked out a system with the boys building while I searched for the pieces which was working great until Hurricane Landon ran through the room.
This project was more addicting and time-consuming than I anticipated. Never in a million years did I ever expect to say, "Sorry we're having hot dogs for dinner, Honey. I've been building Legos all day." Oh, the things I do to keep my boys from watching TV on dark, rainy days!
great idea to sort into different colors and types. I also feel bad that these legos become almost useless after then break from their original model. I agree that's addicting as I've done the same.
