The Count Down

Randy is stressed.  Randy is studying.  All the time.  He takes his boards on June 4th which means I am a single parent until then so the count down is on.  Obviously by now I am used to this sort of thing and I'm just glad I'm not too pregnant to do anything besides sit on the couch and wish for the baby to come or we'd really be in trouble.
On Saturday I decided to take the boys on a bike riding adventure at a nearby preserve while Randy studied.  After pumping up tires, dismantling the Chariot, loading three bikes and the Chariot into the van, I still hadn't managed to put myself into labor so we were good to go.
The preserve was beautiful and quiet.  Well, until we got there.  We discovered a huge boulder perfect for climbing on.  We rode through towering trees, around small ponds, across bridges, and up and down short hills.  It was paradise.  Somehow Marcus got ahead of us so Bean and I split up looking for him.  I sent Bean down one side of the pond while I rode around the other.  Within a minute I looked around and noticed Bean on the opposite side of the small pond, sitting down by his bike.  I called out to see what was wrong and he looked up startled.  "I was lost so I knelt down to pray that you'd find me!"  I tried not to laugh out loud because he hadn't left my sight the entire time!  But it's good to know he knows what to do when he needs help.
