That's the word to describe New England. Its quaintness is one of the things we love about living in New England. I've done a horrible job posting any pics of the quaintness we see on a regular basis so here are some pics so you can see what you're missing. Oh, and by the way, quaintness is a tradeoff for convenience. You really can't have both which is why it is so different out West. Never in a million years would a road get widened out here just to help with the flow of traffic. Parking lots are small and rare. In twenty years, the roads, neighborhoods, and storefronts will all be exactly as they are now, which is exactly how they were twenty years ago which is exactly how they were twenty years before that. At first it's annoying but then you come to appreciate that the sameness is what gives everything a small-town feel and the kind of quaintness you thought only existed in Stars Hollow. (Please tell me you've watched enough Gilmore Girl episodes to know what I mean.)

I love it! But is there a Miss Pattys dance studio for town meetings?
