Insanity

Brrrrr!

Randy and I are teaming up with some friends and running the Cape Cod Ragnar in May.  I'm not even going to be close to ready for the race so even though the weather was nasty outside, I knew I had to run regardless of the arctic wind blowing gusts of snow through the air.  It was a slow three miles of pure torture.  I paused to take a picture but it was really just an excuse to catch my breath!
Oh, and did I mention I did this run while pushing the boys in the Chariot?  If you know me at all you know I'm passionate about my love for cheesecake and my Chariot.  My Chariot has got to be the only stroller out there that can withstand freezing temps while keeping its occupants cozy warm.  I'm sure the blankets and heat packs helped too.  Landon is the biggest wimp ever so I knew if he got cold he'd let me know about it but he must have stayed warm because he never complained.  He passed the time using the iTouch while Parker slept.
Winter running is not for wimps.  I'm a wimp.  But the thought of being the weakest link on my Ragnar team motivates me to do non-wimpy things.
A word to the wise:  Don't sign up to run a race that involves training in the winter!
