'Twas the Night Before the First Day of School

And all through the house the children were sleeping while I mourned the end of summer vacation.  I've loved spending time with all four of my boys and I'm going to miss seeing them play together.  Of course they have their moments when they argue and I want to throw them out the window or run up to my room and scream into a pillow, but for the most part these boys are my buds.  We've played at the park together, gone on picnics, rediscovered the skate park, played ball in the front yard, splashed in puddles, and spent every possible second at the beach.
I regret not taking more pictures of our beach adventures but I'm usually so busy keeping Parker from eating the sand or drowning, I never get out the camera.  We've gone to the beach almost every day, and we especially enjoy going in the evening when Randy can come with us.  We found that a thermos full of hot chocolate keeps the boys warm enough to swim until the sun goes down.  Next summer I have two goals: to learn to surf and to take more pics of our beach adventures.
We've missed the Seattle rain enough we actually play in the rain now
My boys love eating Lunchables.  They probably thought this picnic was better than our trip to Utah.

  1. I can't believe Parker already looks like he's grown some more since you left us!
