The Parkster

Is it just me or is there a serious lack of Parker pics on the old blog lately?  I thought I'd remedy the situation with a quick update on this kid.  Although he is still the happiest, most easy-going kid around, he is now in my least favorite age.  One-year-olds!  Ugh.  If there was somewhere/someone to send them to and have them returned when they're two, I'd be all over that.  No matter how much baby proofing I do, Parker finds a way to make a mess out of something.  The bonus is the boys have learned they must always remember to never ever ever leave the toilet seat and lid up or Parker will play in the water.  Or worse, throw one of their Legos in for a quick bath.  Parker also wins the prize for being my messiest eater yet.  I usually strip him down to his diaper for all meals so I can hose him off in the kitchen sink afterwards.  It makes for less laundry.   Now if there was a way to quickly hose off the kitchen floor within a ten-foot radius around the high chair, things would be so much better.  Anyway, he is finally walking.  It took him forever to figure it out.  I think he was almost 15 months old.  But he's finally got it down and he sure looks funny doing it.  He doesn't really talk because that's what three older brothers are for, and if it were up to him we would read books all day every day.  I think he's going to be super smart and he's got the big brain to prove it.
In fact, his head is so big {and kinda funky shaped - he gets that from his Dad} we had to take him in to the children's hospital for a CT scan.  He handled the whole thing like a trooper and it looks like everything is fine.  "It's just the shape of his head,"  said the doctor.  If he could start growing some hair we probably wouldn't even notice it.

Park loves to fly

Dressed in all new clothes!  No hand-me-downs for this kid.  After 3 boys most of the clothes aren't worth saving

sleeping off the drugs after the CT scan

His big head

Hooray!  He could finally eat after the test.  Poor kid!

  1. It's so weird to see him standing! He's still super cute. Can't wait to see him.
