I'll Take It

Sundays can get rough when you have a bunch of boys with too much pent-up energy.  It's like cabin fever on steroids.  Things get destroyed, injuries are inevitable, and my sanity goes out the window.  We decided watching good quality, family-friendly movies together as a family provided the balance of relaxation and togetherness to help everyone make it through the day without as much drama. Today I insisted on watching The Sound of Music.   The boys rebelled, of course.  They whined and complained at first but were glued to the screen within minutes.  Victory for me!  I love that movie and know every song by heart.
Later, while I was trying to make dinner I discovered something that keeps all the boys entertained:  home movies!  They were all gathered around the computer, laughing their heads off at days of the past.  Note to self:  take more videos.

Randy is a horrible photographer but at least I have proof I'm in this family

These guys think they are soooo funny

  1. We were looking at videos of Oki this week too. Another thing I've found to keep them occupied happily? Let them take their own home movies. They were creating their own "Kid Histories" the other day. Another time they made their own rock videos complete with choreography. Mostly they steal my phone and I discover them all playing happily in a bedroom and later get a fun treat watching all of them.

  2. Perfect Idea. They all look so happy. Sunday's can be hard days if your busy and if you are not.
