Parker Has a Flaw

It's common news around here that Parker is an all-around amazingly happy kid.  We love him to pieces {despite the fact that he's a 1-yr-old, which, in my opinion is the least favorite age so far but that could change after I have a teenager}.  Anyway, we went to church yesterday like we always do.  Randy and I were extra excited because Parker is finally old enough to go to Nursery which should be celebrated.  Why didn't we think to celebrate it?  After spending most of our three hours of church roaming the halls with a noisy and active child for the last several months, it was finally time to drop him off in Nursery allowing us to do our church assignments and even attend a class without interruptions.
Too bad Parker hates nursery!  He cried hysterically, enough to make me go running to him with arms open wide.  He hugged me tight, buried his head in my shoulder, and tried to stifle his sobs as I soothed him.  It broke my heart.   My friends just laughed and one said, "This is the first time I've seen Parker fuss.  He is normal after all!"
So there you have it.  Parker isn't perfect after all.

  1. Sounds like Bennett! I have never had a kid hate nursery like he did. It took a couple months of taking him out early, and sitting with him for awhile, and the leader snuggling him the whole time, but now he walks right in without a second glance. Good luck Parker!
