Lots of Love and Lots of Snow

The Heart Attack
Valentine's Day was your typical day with lots of candy and not too much romance.  Is it ever romantic?  I gave the boys little stuffed animals and new socks.  You can imagine their excitement over the socks.  Randy gave them some candy and new swim goggles.  My boys go through goggles almost as fast as socks.  It's ridiculous.  We had a delicious dinner of broccoli cheddar soup left over from the book group/lunch I hosted earlier that day.  We ate by candlelight which meant it was too dark for the boys to see what they were eating which is why I think they ate the soup.  As I'm reading over this it sounds like a pretty lame Valentine's Day but never fear!  Randy and I celebrated in a romantical way at dinner the next day, without the kids and with some friends.  We ate at a fancy restaurant where you can only get in with reservations and just about everyone is dressed up.  If it wasn't for the blizzard outside, I would've worn a dress.  Next time I will.  After I buy one, of course.  After our dinner of lobster ravioli and filet mignon, we went to our friend's house and watched each others wedding videos.  We laughed our heads off and will definitely make this our new Valentine's tradition.
Have a happy President's Day!  I'm doing piles of laundry and packing our suitcases for our week-long jaunt to Utah so I can see my family and Randy can ski with the boys.  It's going to be great fun.  And way too short!

Marcus wrote a Valentine to himself.
Hooray for more shoveling!

Parker hasn't quite figured out the whole sledding thing. . . we'll work on it.

Landon has it figured out
