Double Whammy

These two little guys had their birthday.  Landon decided Chuck E. Cheese was where he wanted us to celebrate his five years of life and since Parker is too young to care that's what we did.  Poor Parker.  Of all the kids to share a birthday with let's just say Landon would be my last choice.  It's his way or the highway.  For now it works but in a few years I am envisioning major drama.  Parker is not the only one I feel sorry for though.  Summer birthdays stink!  Any of you cursed with a summer birthday have my total sympathy.  Summertime is busy and fun and filled with traveling.  Throwing a birthday party into the mix, at least for me, is just not a good idea.  Poor Randy always gets the shaft every year with his July birthday and this year was no different.  He spent it on the plane sick with Lyme Disease.  Poor guy.  He didn't know he had Lyme Disease yet though.  It took 2 weeks of pain and suffering and countless trips to doctors and the ER before he finally got the meds he needs.  But I digress. . .
We partied at Chuck E. Cheese, then zipped over to Target and Toys 'R Us to buy their birthday presents {because Amazon Prime never delivers in 2 days when you live in RI} that I should have bought much earlier.  Then it was home to make the birthday cake {should have made it the night before but didn't}, birthday dinner {Landon chose pancakes}, wrap the presents, and open the presents.  So fun.
But I love these two little guys and am so glad they are too young to know that their birthday celebration was totally last-minute. But that's what you get when you just get back from a 3-week trip to the West.

I laughed until I cried at Marcus and Bean dancing with Chuck in a pathetic attempt to get more tickets.  Marcus would die if his friends saw this.

"Heavy, heavy hang over. . ."

Hooray for a t-ball thingy!
Parker played with his new toy while Landon dug into his pile of loot
Too busy to notice the birthday boy had red marker all over his face courtesy of his birthday bud

First Landon blew out the candles

Then Parker.  We sang to each of them.
