A Lot Can Happen in Two Weeks

Ethan turned nine.
We flew to Utah for spring break.
We sold our house!
We've got a lot to celebrate and a lot to catch up on so let's start out with a big Happy Birthday to Ethan!  He's nine years old which means he's halfway to being an adult.  Holy smokes!  His birthday just happened to be the same day as the Boston Marathon and the first day of spring break.  We celebrated by spending the day watching the marathon in the pouring rain.  My boys were such good sports.  We were so cold and so wet but I wanted to stay long enough to see my good friend Tracey run by.  As soon as we saw her we hightailed it back to the van where I cranked the heat so I could get some feeling back in my fingers.  We stopped at a bakery on the way home from Boston where Bean picked out his birthday cake, Death by Chocolate.  It was divine!  Bean requested hamburgers for dinner so Randy grilled in the pouring rain, and after dinner we opened presents.  It was a great day, although Ethan didn't especially want to watch the marathon, but we celebrated him at Rock Spot where we went rock climbing until late into the night a couple days later.
Hooray for Ethan!
 A new Nerf gun!
Little brothers ready to bonk him on the head with "heavy hangovers"

Rock climbing for his birthday

Ethan is fearless!  He's so high!

It's great to be 9!

Ethan is a lover of animals both real and stuffed, he loves to make people laugh, has the cutest giggle I've ever heard, has a huge imagination, and loves to take care of his brothers.  We love you, Bean!
