Day two at Disneyland meant we were pros at this point. We made it to the rope drop where I took Parker and Henry back to Star Wars rides while Randy took the big boys to Space Mountain. They were the first ones to ride the ride. They are officially rope drop pros.
Parker's Choice: Millennium Falcon |
Henry's face as he screamed, "I'm so excited! I'm so excited!" |
Henry finally got to ride on all the little kid rides and he was practically skipping (but he doesn't know how) from ride to ride. Parker pretended not to enjoy the rides but secretly he loved not having to put his brave on.
Eventually all the lines were getting way too long so we played around on Tom Sawyer's Island, a perfect place for boys to get their wiggles out. |
Naturally, my boys were the only ones to figure out how to raise this creepy skeleton and treasure chest out of the water.
Ethan was ready to go into some serious debt for a custom light saber. I think the cheapest one was a couple hundred dollars.
Landon and Parker decided to buy these basic light sabers. They look pretty cool in the dark
We discovered a shop where you can build your own droid. It was so cool! Conveyor belts full of robot parts were moving around the store as people created their custom droids. Randy and the boys instantly knew this was a Disney experience they couldn't pass up so Randy made a reservation for them later that night.
I don't have a picture of them with their finished product, but trust me, they are cool. It was super fun to haul all this stuff onto the plane :)
Ethan bought this stuffed animal that was so soft and actually heavy. Parker also got a cool Star Wars penguin thing that perched on his shoulder and talked.
We waited around for the parade and poor Henry slept through it. It was fun until all the princesses started coming and we knew that was our cue to head back to the hotel for a break.
Here are a few pics of the yummy food. We ordered everything through the app and never had to swipe a credit card so it felt free. It wasn't :) But it sure beat eating mushy sandwiches from the backpack.
The biggest, most delicious raspberry macaron I've ever had |
Marcus still talks about these loaded hot dogs (chili, nacho cheese w/bacon) |

Randy's dessert |
I showed this case to Randy and he could barely restrain himself from buying one of everything. He bought one of almost everything. I was not mad. |
