Summer Catch-Up: The Frank's Came

We had so many people visit while our house was under construction.  It gives me a pit in my stomach when I think about it.  First, Amie and Aubrey, then all of Marcus's Utah friends and their moms, the Frank's, our friends from college, and the Johnson's.  Most of these people have never been here before and won't be returning ever again so all they've seen of us is when we were at our worst.  I'm not just talking about the house either!  The Frank's were here when things finally started coming together so I had the workers keep coming because it felt like we were finally nearing the end.  We weren't.  But the Frank's are so great that they just went along with it and thanked the lucky stars the military life prevents them from ever taking on a project like this.

One of many s'mores nights in the backyard

I don't love s'mores but this one was perfectly melted so I couldn't resist
We took the on their first ferry ride.  Driving on to the ferry is something everyone needs to experience.

We went to our favorite Fay-Bainbridge park that has a fun playground and beach.  We ate a picnic lunch and laughed at something on Youtube.

Our kids are all basically the same ages and the same height (short).
Free slurpee day at 7-11 meant stopping in Seattle for free slurpees.  None of the homeless people were taking the free handout :) Our poor city is so gross!
The Frank's experienced the first meal in my new kitchen.  I was thrilled obviously.

Renting E-boats is super fun even though we are sick of doing it with everyone who comes town.

A cake to celebrate Macie going off to college at ASU and Marcus leaving his mission "Bear Down and Happy Mish!

Saying goodbye before I drove them to the airport for their flight to Guam, their next duty station.
