Okinawa or Bust!

I’m posting this from Narita Airport in Japan. We are on our way to Okinawa and I still can’t believe it!  We just survived a 9 hour flight across the ocean on the coolest airplane I’ve ever flown on. We had plenty of movies to watch, lots of leg room, and were fed a couple of free meals that were actually good, along with Haagen Daas ice cream. I totally recommend flying Japanese Airlines!  But really the best part was that I didn’t have any little children or babies to take care of because we left Henry and Parker at home with Randy’s mom. It was so strange to actually relax and sleep a bit on a flight. I kept wondering how I ever managed that flight, especially when I did it by myself with three little boys.
We will be in Okinawa for a brief week of fun, sightseeing, and reuniting with old friends. Two families from our Okinawa days are stationed in Oki again so we had to take advantage of the opportunity to visit them before they move to their next station in a couple months. We are taking a ferry to an island resort tomorrow where we hope to snorkel and soak in some sun while randy goes scuba diving. Stay tuned for a major picture overload when we get back. In Landon’s words as he stepped off the plane, “I’m home!”
