Christmas 2019

Christmas Day came and went in a blur.  We told the boys they couldn't open presents until Henry woke up so things didn't start until 8am.  Marcus was still half asleep for most of the gifting and unfortunately, Henry was super grumpy and all he wanted to do was watch a show in the other room.  It took a lot of convincing to get him to stay and open presents that he couldn't care less about.  Luckily, he didn't get much!
Landon and Parker {who changed their Christmas wish lists both to Santa and on Amazon several times} were thrilled to receive Anki Overdrive.  It's an electronic race track where you race cars controlled by a smart phone or iPad as they race around a track that you can reconfigure a million ways.  They love it and so do the older boys so I guess I need to forgive Santa for gifting them yet another race track and cars.  We already have so many of these types of toys!  Such is the life with five boys though.
Ethan got a season ski pass with Randy so they will be going skiing at every opportunity, that is if the resort gets some snow!
Marcus got clothes and a new lacrosse shaft along with other boring teenager stuff.
I gave Randy a cool back massage thing that the boys have loved trying out, along with an orthopedic pillow that is supposed to help with neck pain.  Yep, we are officially old!
The big surprise this year was announcing a family trip to Mexico in February.  Even Henry gets to come (which is such a bad idea but oh well).  I'm excited to be adventurous while Randy gets to use his Spanish to get us to Playa Del Carmen and Marcus is going to set a record for the number of free massages on the beach.  The other boys are just excited to swim their hearts out.
We spent the day in our pajamas and being lazy and then joined up with some friends for a fancy Christmas dinner.

Parker gifted everyone artwork that he lovingly wrapped by putting it all in a tupperware container :)

Grandma Kathy scored big by giving Henry a gift we don't already have and that he loves....a dinosaur book with sounds and little, colorful dinosaurs to go with it.

Ethan wasted no time playing his new Zelda game for his Nintendo Switch (that he bought with his own money)

The aftermath wasn't too bad this year.  That's what happens when I do the Christmas shopping :)
Mid-Winter break can't come soon enough
This is the resort we will be staying at

Merry Christmas to all!
