We are starting Day 2 of "Lock Down." All Americans on Okinawa are not allowed off base except to drive to another base or go to church. Now I have to run laps around our small base, I don't get to watch the Okinawa Marathon, take my kids to the park, eat out, etc. All of these restrictions are due to
this. The world is full of idiots, and now I'm stuck at home for an indefinite amount of time. Lame, lame, lame!
Ugh! I'm sorry...that really does sound terrible. But can I just say that I'm impressed you are running even amidst being in "lock-down." If I ever need an excuse not to exercise, it would be the term "lock-down." And running laps at that...you may JUST inspire me yet!
ReplyDeleteWhat! That IS lame!!! Sometimes we go to lockdown at school, but that only lasts for a few minutes and then all is well. Please bless you are not in lockdown when I come visit!
ReplyDeleteI like that the article said you americans need a "a time of reflection" hilarious, and also very stinky for you
ReplyDeleteWe are in "lock-down" here in New England too ---- more SNOW!!! Sorry to hear about your predicament. I enjoy catching up with you guys via your blog. Good luck until further notice....
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to read your blog and catch up on your lives. The pictures you post are beautiful--sorry about the lock down though.
ReplyDeleteAre you still in lockdown? That totally bites! I'm impressed you still run during your enprisonment! Way to go Mel!
ReplyDeleteImprisonment...not enprisonment. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about the civil rights and quality of life of all of the innocent Americans living in Okinawa. I have never committed a crime in my life. I am not in the military. I have lived in Okinawa now for 10 years. I even have an Okinawa wife. Why am I restricted?
ReplyDeleteIs someone going to jail for unlawful arrest of innocent persons?
