I have 2 strollers that so totally rock I decided it's time I share them with everyone. I'm not the type to do a lot of research before purchasing anything but when it came to purchasing my double strollers I searched long and hard and here is what I found and love.
My Sit-N-Stand stroller by Baby Trend rocks because I can put FOUR kids on it. No, they aren't all buckled in but it gets them from Point A to Point B. Marcus is too old to need a stroller but when we're doing lots of walking (or waiting to get through Customs) he needs a place to sit or stand. You know you've got a cool stroller when people see it for the first time and ask me where I got it and if they can take it for a test drive.
I need a drum roll for this next one because it's the greatest thing I have ever owned....it's my Chariot Cougar 2. This is a hard-core, not for sissies, top of the line, Cadillac of double jogging strollers. There are so many cool features to this baby I could go on forever. I'll just list a few, well several. This stroller converts into a bike trailer, jogging stroller, sled (for Cross-Country skiing) and a few other things. However, it's foremost a jogging stroller so it has a super smooth ride with adjustable suspension. This little 27-pound gem also comes attached with a sun visor and weather shield. I've taken my boys out in freezing cold temperatures and they've stayed so warm they fell asleep. My boys are completely closed in when riding so if we're going to be out for awhile I can dump a bunch of toys or the portable DVD player in and I know they can't toss it out on the sidewalk. If only I'd known about this stroller before I had 2 kids because it can carry a single rider or double riders. I love my Chariot so much I wish I could have two of them!
Wow, those really are two super cool strollers. You have to be careful what products you rave about on your blog since I ran out and bought me a Sherpani bag the instant you mentioned it. I am loving the sit and stand stroller - I am going to have to do some sweet talking to Brian to let him know how awesome it is. I detest the tandem double stroller we have now. Also, it says something about how dedicated a runner you are that you go out in freezing temperatures to run (despite whether or not your boys sleep! :) Way to go.
ReplyDeleteHey Mel I was wondering what the tires are made of. I know it sounds dumb but I don't like the plastic ones on most strollers. Also I read some of the reviews and the women thought it was too long. Do you feel that way? I've been interested in that stroller when I first saw you with it in Boston. I'm thinking about it more because baby #2 is almost here. Thanks for the info! Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your running stroller/bike trailer! The picture is great ... if your leg muscles don't speak for themselves, nothing will!
ReplyDeleteGo cougar! That's my most favoritest stroller too. I honestly think it was the best investment we've made in our marriage. It's great here in Washington too with the rain because the kids can be completely enclosed. I'm so glad we got the double ahead of time. It was great with one kid, it's even better with two.
ReplyDeleteIf you had twins you'd need another one. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I might have to look into getting myself one of these. I like the sit and stand because Winston gets tired walking sometimes. Maybe I can convince the hubbs to replace the double piece of crap stroller we got at Kmart when Charlie was born. I HATE IT! Thanks for the recommendations!
ReplyDeleteIncredibly cool finds!!! wow.
