My New Baby

I call her Yamaha.
Randy, my husband with amazing shopping skills, purchased this piano for me in the hopes that I will forgive him for moving me to the other side of the planet and away from my family, leaving our piano in Utah. I was totally surprised when I walked into our bomb shelter after a 24-hour flight around the world to see this little beauty with my favorite Pride and Prejudice music, just waiting for me to play. To top it all off he got me fresh flowers, a real feat in this foreign place. Father's Day is coming up and I'm pretty sure I can't outdo this gift. Any ideas?

P.S. For those who weren't able to attend my sister's amazing funeral, you can listen to it here by typing in Lindsey Spjute.

  1. Your new baby is very beautiful, and I'm sure you'll improve everybody's life in the bomb shelter with your playing. And wow, nice going, Randy! Now give Peter some tips on gift-giving.

  3. Does this mean we get to keep the piano we're "storing" for you?

  4. Randy rocks! Very nice. Now you can remember how to play the piano again. Do you have to leave it in Japan when you leave?

  6. Wow, she is beautiful. You must be so proud :) That will be hard to beat but I think the fact that you did follow him across the world is enough. I'll have to tell Eric what he did. Maybe he'll bring me a piano off the ship. I'm sad that we just missed you. We're traveling to Utah next week for my brother's wedding. When will you be back again?
