Tokyo Disney

The last time I went to Disney Land I was too little to remember much of it so I was super excited to take the kids on our Tokyo trip. We had way too much fun. The lines were so short we went on almost every ride. I think this was partially due to the fact that the Japanese are too busy taking pictures of the Disney characters to have time to go on a ride. Because of their obsession with the Disney characters, the kids were only able to meet a few of them. We found it paid off to be Americans when we met Peter Pan and Jack Sparrow. They left the crowds of Japanese women to take pictures with us and talk to the only people in the park who they could understand. We stayed late enough to see the electrical parade and it was awesome! I felt like a little kid, waving and smiling at all the floats that passed by.
And by the way, is it normal for adults to walk around wearing every kind of Mickey Mouse Ears/souvenirs possible? The Japanese people sure got into it.

  3. Hi Melanie,
thanks for your sweet note on my blog. i actually checked your blog out a few weeks ago, it was right after you received the news about your wonderful sister. I am sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what it must be like. i wanted and still want to give you a big hug. when you described how much your body ached because of the sadness you felt, i have been feeling the same way as i have had to deal with the loss of my "thought to be perfect" child. there is a long road ahead.
you're wonderful, your boys are beautiful and i will check back with you soon-
    monica
