Web Cams Are the BEST!

OK, seriously. How did people handle living on the opposite side of the planet from their families before web cams, email, and Vonage? I would've lasted a day before hopping on the first plane off the island. Luckily for me my parents also have a web cam so we can chat the day away and I can show off my great year-round tan while I watch it snowing outside their window. What a life!
My parents held their third annual Witchie-Poo Party--don't ask me why they call it that, but it works and the kids love it. It involves Halloween costumes, candy, and a big cauldron full of root beer and dry ice commonly referred to as Witchie Poo Brew. The kids LOVE it. My boys got to participate via the web cam and had a great time. You can see them pictured above on the computer screen. I love modern technology!
By the way, to get dry ice over here I had to go to a Japanese ice cream shop and order ice cream to go. The nice Japanese people wrapped it all up with dry ice so it wouldn't melt on the way home. Very clever.
