They're Out!
Hooray! Marcus got his tonsils and adenoids removed today. We have been waiting for this day for two years. We finally got a pediatric ENT on the island so the great event could happen. It turns out his adenoids were huge so the doctor said he'll be a new man now that he'll be able to breathe through his nose. Marcus is sleeping peacefully right now without snoring for the first time in a loooooong time. I even had to double check to make sure he was actually breathing. I am so happy we finally got this taken care of. Ethan will be soon to follow as soon as he gets a sleep study done at a Japanese hospital. Now that should be interesting.
(Feeling a little skeptical after taking "yucky medicine")

Hooray for Marcus!
ReplyDeleteGood job. Better to get them out now that wait until he's older. It only gets worse! Looks like he came through all right!
ReplyDeleteYikes - what a trooper! I know what a snoring hubby and kids are like - now I'm wondering if I should take my kids in to get checked, too! (Then I can sleep better at night!).
ReplyDeleteYay! He looks great! Kids sure snap back quickly - he'll probably be ready for school today! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a big deal. Glad to know it was successful!
ReplyDeleteHappy sleeping nights ahead!
Marcus, you are brave! Melanie, he looks like such a little man in his little hospital attire. What a relief to have the procedure done. Ahhhh, for a good night's rest. :)
ReplyDeleteIndira had a T&A when she was 3. She slept so well that first night- it was amazing. Marcus looks great!
ReplyDeleteGood Job Marcus. You look very good for what you went through. Glad you got those Popsicles. They somehow make things better, no matter what!!!! Love, Grandma B.
ReplyDeleteI really think Sami needs this done too. I need to talk to you.
