Miracles

I thought I'd introduce you to a couple of the miracles in my life; they're both bald and wear hats to keep their heads warm.
This is my mom with brand-new grandson "Miracle Max". My sister has been waiting for this little guy to make the leap into her womb for a few years. We found out about his pending arrival the same day as Lindsey's funeral. Coincidence? I don't think so. Just a nice reminder that God loves us.
Max was born 7 weeks early and had to fight for his life for the first several weeks. After recovering from emergency surgery, he is home and thriving.
My mom's strength and ability to endure chemo is the other miracle. The chemo may not kill the cancer but she is sure giving it a run for its money.

  1. I love your absolute faith and love for God. He does work in mysterious ways, but we must trust Him.

  3. Oh, that little guy is adorable! It's amazing how God places things and people into our lives as "compensation" for other things that we have lost. I'm so happy for your sister & your family that Max is thriving. Your mom does look great. She is a fighter.

And your line, "who needs a marathon? i've run one..traveling with kids across the world is much more difficult!" is a great line. i plan to do it this summer with 3, will I make it?
