Festivals

It's festival season here in Japan. It seems like every weekend there is a festival going on somewhere celebrating something and they usually end in with an amazing firework show. We're getting so used to hearing fireworks going off at night we don't even look out the window to watch them. I guess after three summers of festivals even fireworks aren't that exciting anymore.
But the festival food is always something unexpected. Pictured here is some fried rice, fried chicken gristle, fried hot dogs, and a fried cabbage pancake.

Luckily the Japanese also cater to the Americans so Marcus could get his fill of cotton candy. And a very thorough teeth brushing afterward.

  1. Whoa, that's a ton of fried stuff! It could rival the south for weird fried things....
