Firsts

Landon's first time in the United States
He got his passport photo taken when he was less than 48 hours old. This boy was born to travel.

Marcus had his first day of kindergarten
Although it wasn't as exciting as riding the bus and going to full-day kindergarten in Japan, he gets to be in the same class as his cousin, Megan. Marcus will be known as the exchange student from Japan and I am still coping with the fact that he wouldn't even let me take him to his first day of school. Next thing I know he'll be moving away to college. I weep.

Randy had his first of many interviews,
beginning in UCLA for residency programs to become an endodontist (root canal extraordinaire) which is why we'll be in Utah for the next month.

And most important of all,
Landon met his Grandma Spjute for the first time!
My mom's goal was to last until he and his cousin were born. Now that she met that goal we're hoping for Christmas.

your mom has to be so happy with her baby grandson in her arms and her daughter home to visit. what a beautiful picture.

  4. What a sweet picture of your mom with Landon. And Marcus makes a pretty cute, independent little Kindergartener.

When you have a minute, will you give an update on when you return to Japan (I assume you are going back) and if you are, when you will be coming back to the states permanently?

Totally impressed with you flying all over the world with your little kids. Oh my.
