Never Enough Time

All good things must come to an end. We got our official orders. We leave tropical paradise forever on May 15th. I'm hoping the horrible heat and humidity hits before then so I'll have a reason to be glad we're leaving. (Although the thought of never doing the torturous flight again fills my heart with indescribable joy.)
Anyway, I've got to take more pictures. I don't want to forget anything. There are so many little and random things about our Japanese experience I don't want to forget.......

Like the smashed cars stacked up on tow trucks, swaying precariously in the breeze.

Or the lady driving her 4-wheeler down a major road without a helmet. Both are perfectly acceptable.

Or the celestial sunsets.

Or the unidentifiable food we order at restaurants. Yes, those are little black eye balls staring at us. We ate them and we even liked it. (Gasp!)

Or the beautiful beaches that I never photograph because we see them so often it's no big deal.

So stay tuned during the next couple months for random photos of life in Japan. It's all an attempt to help me remember what life is like on the other side of the planet.

  4. Melanie- You seriously just made my tears start to flow. I miss that place so much and knowing that you won't live there anymore makes me realize I'm gone for good. My heart hurts looking at those pictures. I'm so glad I have good friends that will understand why I loved my Japanese experience.

Also I haven't been a sleep zombie this week. I got down to business and got them on a schedule. I only wake up 3 times a night now. Still tired but much better than it was.
