(thousands of people waiting to purchase their tickets)
Our last trip to Tokyo Disney was awesome. We rode every ride, watched the electric parade at night and pretty much all our dreams came true. I was excited to take the boys again, expecting another great experience.
My dreams were shattered when we got off the train and saw thousands of people, mostly teenagers and adults, crowding the gates. The smart thing would have been to leave immediately and do some sightseeing but I'd like to meet the parent mean enough to take their kid to Tokyo Disney and then tell them, "Never mind. This was a bad idea. Let's go check out a giant Buddha shrine instead."
We fought the crowds all day and managed to ride on 4 rides. We got a couple fast passes and then took the boys to the Dumbo ride--the shortest line we could find. We waited one hour and ten minutes for a ride that only lasted 90 seconds. The most frustrating part of all this was watching all the adults on the ride. Why would any adult want to ride on Dumbo for crying out loud?
(Landon and Marcus loving the ride)
But you know what? My boys had a great time!
Mel,
ReplyDeleteIt has been so fun to see all your adventures in Japan on your blog! Glad the boys still had fun at Disney. I really don't like amusement parks especially when they are crowded. Enjoy the rest of your time there. Jason is thinking of taking a semester in Japan to teach English. He may have to pick your brain.
i am going to miss your japan pictures and experiences! hope everything goes well with your transition!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys are troopers! I am glad the boys had a good time. It is great how kids can enjoy almost anything.
ReplyDeleteThat's insane! I've never seen so many people! What a good mom to still go.
