Wouldn't you know we discovered the beauty of a tiny tropical island a short boat ride away on our last weekend in Okinawa. We stayed at a resort hotel and had the whole place to ourselves. We snorkeled at a private beach where we swam with sea turtles. Three of them! Besides the hundreds of beautiful tropical fish, I also saw a stingray so now my snorkeling experience is complete.

That is so beautiful there, Mel. IT has been fun to share your experience through your blog. So much has happened in your life since you went to Japan. It will be nice to have you back in the States. Maybe we will get to see you at a family reunion!
