Bean started his first day of preschool. Since he's boy #2 it's really not that big a deal for him or me. Sad but true.
The main reason I took his picture was to get a shot of his chin taped up from the stitches he got last night after he hit his chin diving into the hot tub. I told him chicks dig scars and I'm sure he'll have a ton of them--scars and chicks. This is his second round of stitches so far but I digress. His little accident is not the point of this post. The point I'm trying to make is with his new career as a preschooler I only have one boy at home and he's in the process of taking a 2-hour nap right now. Such bliss I have never known.
Just think of all the unfinished projects I can finish. Holy smokes, I could even start scrap booking! Okay, that's never going to happen but that's not the point. So after I exercise, take a long shower, and deep clean the house in ways I've never thought possible, I just might be able to squeeze in a nap. Or read a book. Or both.
I'm loving this new schedule!
Love it- you go girl! (I really like Bean's poses.)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the bliss! My girls started yesterday... no kids at home... sad but great! I love that you found an Oki restaurant. I can't wait for you to take us there when we come to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Bean - you need to come back & play! Mel - this could be the most sleep you've ever had in your adult life! Think of the possibilities!
ReplyDeleteCute photo....I feel the same way with only one home myself twice a week. The nap idea is what sounds good to me most days myself!!! I hope to get scrapbooking that much time just won't happen until they are all in school I am afraid. Enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteWow Mel! Maybe you could do a quilt of Seattle? :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute ... he'll have a blast and you'll feel refreshed!
Congrats on your new position in life, Mel. Megan starts preschool on Wednesday this week (and Conor is in school all day). I will have 3 mornings to myself for 3 hours at a time. I'll probably just have time to exercise and take a shower, but hey, I will be FREE as a BIRD. Enjoy your peaceful moments. (You are so lucky to have such great sleepers in your family, by the way.)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe I won't homeschool, your new life sounds blissfull!
