Home Again

I should've known I was worrying for nothing.  It was good to be in Utah, good to be back home.  Dad and Kathy make a great team and it is really entertaining watching them ironing out the kinks of being newlyweds.  We did all the usual stuff only sometimes not with the usual people, making the familiar seem new but still good.  It felt so normal visiting with family, holding new little Sam (with the orangest hair I've ever seen), eating good food, and talking with my sisters while the kids played until they collapsed. Of course it wouldn't feel like home without throwing a pirate adventure for the grandkids so we did that too, in honor of Bean's upcoming birthday.

Some things never change and that's what coming home is all about.

  2. I'm so happy you enjoyed going home. I met Kathy when I went home for Emily's wedding last month. Super sweet and said great things about you and your family. I'm also glad my family is not the only one obsessed with pirates. If I could count how many treasure hunts and costumes we've been through. Looks like a blast! Also, Sam is adorable. I didn't know she was expecting again.

  3. I'm so happy to hear that things went well. It's obvious there is a lot of love going around along with all the pirate adventures!!! It must feel good to have that first trip behind you!!!
