We finally had a day that almost felt like summer. Almost. The temperature got to a whoppin' 70 degrees so we spent the afternoon at the lake with some friends. The boys loved the wild ride on the inner tube which also converted into an awesome slippery slide, and Randy tried out surfing for the first time. He's a natural. Oh, and he's naturally old too. He turned 34 yesterday and we celebrated with presents, birthday cake, and watching the latest Harry Potter movie.
We drove to the theater wearing pants and jackets with the heater turned on. As fun as our sunny day at the lake was, it wasn't enough to change my bitter feelings. I am still mad at the unusually cold/cloudy/rainy weather. For the record, we've only had 7 days of weather warmer than 70 degrees this whole year. You know it's bad when I resort to taking my kids to McDonald's so they can play at the indoor playground to get their wiggles out. Normally that's an activity I reserve for winter days of boredom. Hopefully the weather is a little warmer in Oregon because that's where we'll be for the next week on our family vacation to the Coast.
I just caught up by reading your blogs for the last half an hour. I really love and miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteI see you've gotten into the "make new pictures look like old ones" craze - I like it and they look awesome, especially the float plane!
