Another Dentist in the Family

Ethan has been waiting for this day for months.  The day he would finally lose his first tooth.  Well that day finally came and of course there is a great story to go along with it.
I saw how loose his tooth was and told him to run into the bathroom and pull it out.  I don't do teeth.  Blech!  Bean had a few unsuccessful attempts at pulling his tooth so I sent Marcus in to help.  "You know, if you want to be a dentist when you grow up (which he does) you'll have to pull out that tooth,"  I told Marcus.  Marcus's eyes got big and I could see I had said just the thing to inspire my super-competitive son to rip that tooth out.  He pulled up his sleeves, told Bean to open wide, and yanked the tooth out so fast Bean didn't have time to squeal.  Everyone cheered and then I inspected the hole in Bean's mouth.
"Marcus!" I shouted.  "You pulled out the wrong tooth!"
I started laughing while Bean cried.  Bean had two loose teeth but one wasn't quite ready to come out and that's the one Marcus pulled.
I quickly calmed Bean down by telling him the tooth fairy would surely bring him extra money and to pull out the tooth that was really supposed to come out.  Marcus gave it a good yank first, then Bean pulled it out, victorious.
All this happened while Randy was studying at the library.  I sent him a text with this picture and his text back said, "What?!?!  And I missed it!  I'll never forgive myself."
This was another reality check for me:  Teeth are a big deal around here.
And if don't start pulling my kids' teeth Marcus is going to charge me for his services.  Or demand a share of the tooth fairy money.
