We took a little 6-hour road trip to western NY to hang out with our Oki friends the Kiser's. Or Kisah's if you speak with a New England accent, which I do not. The good times rolled, chaos reigned supreme, and I am more determined than ever to find a location where all our Oki friends can live on the same street.
We took a short drive to Palmyra and toured some of
the church history sites which is a very big deal if you're a Mormon. It was so cool to see where the Book of Mormon was printed and to see the Smith Family Farm. Marcus and Ethan stood on the same bricks Joseph Smith hid the gold plates under and history seemed to come to life for the kids as they walked where Joseph walked.

Beautiful pics, Mel! The snow makes everything look so peaceful. What an awesome trip for you guys and the Kiser's (er, uh, Kisah's ... :)). We miss Oki so much, and to this day we talk about the possibility of buying a huge slab of land so we can all live happily ever after!
