Landon and Parker had their birthdays while we were in Utah. {In case you didn't know, Parker was born on Landon's birthday because I was induced. Yes, I'm a horrible mother for purposely making them birthday buddies but we were days away from moving and the sooner he was delivered the better. I figured if their birthdays were a couple days apart we would probably combine parties anyway so I went ahead with the induction. Yep, I'm a bad mom.} And now back to my story. . . Randy prohibited any serious birthday celebrations because he was still in RI, but we managed to open presents from the grandparents and eat delicious, chocolate mousse torte birthday cake. Since the grandparents made Landon's dreams come true by getting him exactly what he wanted, I'm pretty sure any future belated celebrating will be minimal. Plus, I hate big birthday parties.
I love these two boys. I could gush about them forever but that's not my style and you don't really want to read about that anyway. In a nutshell, Landon is super happy and we no longer wonder if/how/when we should enroll him in an anger management course. He's quiet and polite, and is so athletic it's crazy. Parker is still the smiley-est kid I've ever seen. My sister said it best, "If every baby were like Parker this world would be seriously overpopulated." In typical fourth child fashion, he is doing everything much later than his brothers. He crawls but doesn't walk, baby talks but no real words, and crawls but still hasn't mastered the stairs. His head is huge {we're talking 99%, people} so I'm sure he'll be ridiculously smart like his dad. Or just have a big head.
