I Think I'm a Tree Hugger Part 2

After our quick photo shoot we drove into historic and quaint Concord, MA.  For the record, everything about Concord is historic and quaint which is what makes it so appealing.  We drove past more breathtaking foliage and passed by more historic landmarks such as Louisa May Alcott's home and the Ralph Waldo Emerson home.  We had a picnic under a beautiful tree, then we were off to canoe down the Concord River.  The scenery was breathtaking!  We beached the canoes and let the kids play while Marcus and Bryn rowed out to a small sandbar all by themselves.  They were quite proud of their accomplishment and soon all the kids but Parker joined them on their little island.  It was like a scene from Lord of the Flies.  After our canoe adventure we stopped at a delicious little bakery and then we were off to historic Lexington for a {free} haunted hay ride.  It was a fabulous day--perfect weather, good friends, beautiful leaves, and no one drowned in the river.  Perfect!

It reads "Faithful unto Death"  So dramatic.
