There's No Such Thing as Too Much Fun

We've only been doing the summer thing for a week and a half but we've wasted no time getting into all things summer. Swimming, beach trips, frog/turtle hunting, reading, and lots of playing have kept us occupied.
I am thankful for the 5th of July.  Our 4th of July was completely rained out thanks to Hurricane Andrew so luckily Saturday the 5th was a perfect day to celebrate.   Our Boston friends joined up with us, some we haven't seen since we moved away in 2006 since they currently live in Indiana.  I will always treasure the friendships we made during our four years in Boston.  When we get together we pick up right where we left off.  One of the best things about moving a lot is getting to make so many friends and it's always great when our paths cross again.  Now that the last of our house guests have gone we've got two days to gear up for our trip to Seattle and Utah.  Let the good times roll!

The boys enjoy catching frogs, turtles, and snakes at the nearby pond.  Sick!

Here are the boys writing in their journals.  Proof that sometimes the fun stops.

We took Dad bowling on his lunch break.  That's "Black Mustache", "Bob", and "Striker".

Marcus, errr I mean "Striker" beat Randy,  "In your face!"

One week into summer and the tramp died.  I told Randy in no uncertain terms we would be replacing it ASAP

My husband the midget. {I don't know why he looks so short but it's hilarious!}

Our rainy 4th of July watching Malificent at the theater

Prepping for our indoor BBQ

Reunited with our Boston friends
After our indoor BBQ we stayed up way too late catching up.  The next day we were off to the beach.
Countless sandcastles they call Tokyo

RI beaches can't be beat

Paying the price for staying up too late the night before

Happy 5th of July!

Giddy up!

So long beautiful beach!

I made Mike and Sherene pose for the obligatory lighthouse picture

Rock towers everywhere.  Bean was in heaven!

  1. Wow, you guys make me tired just reading about your lives! Pretty pics, though.

  2. I'm interested in your take in Maleficient? Good for kids? Scary?

  3. I really liked Malificent but I don't think your girls would. It is kind of scary but mostly the story would be over their heads. Landon (4 yrs) was getting antsy through the whole thing and only made it through because of the knights battling it out.

  4. Love your beaches! I swear that beach you were at is the one we went to with Randy…
