We hosted a Super Bowl party at our house and knew that all our friends would be cheering for the Pats so we tried to do some last minute decorating to make everyone happy. I had Randy put his artistic skills to good use and paint a giant number twelve on our big front window. In case you didn't know, the twelve stands for the "12th Man." There are eleven players on the field and the Sea Hawks fans are considered the 12th. The Sea Hawks can't win without their "12th Man." Twelve is a big deal. We were worried our house might get egged or something for so proudly displaying our Seattle loyalty in Patriot territory but had to do it anyway. Luckily Tom Brady's number is also twelve so everyone figured that's what it was for. We were safe.
The party was fantastic! We ate and ate and ate and ate. Super Bowl food is an excellent way to end a 24-hour fast. The game was intense, the kids mostly played in the basement, and the adults had a great time together. I still can't get over the last interception but oh well. My long-time loyalty to Tom Brady made it easy to be happy for him, errrrrrr, I mean the Patriots.

We rearranged furniture and brought in another couch for the ultimate viewing experience. And drank IBC Root Beer of course! |
The little guys found the iPhone way more entertaining. Lame. |

I came up with this idea myself: Deflated Oreo Balls. They aren't pretty but I thought I was pretty clever! |

You can't buy Sea Hawks gear out here so we made our own jerseys with green painters tape. We saved a ton of money and the boys thought they looked cool so it was a win-win! |
