House Guests

When it rains, it pours.  And I'm not talking about the rain we get here in Seattle.  Randy's parents and Grandma spent the weekend with us so they could attend a wedding and the day after they left my sister Alicia and her family flew in for a little vacation.  This means I've been busy cleaning the house, washing bedding and towels, and then repeating the whole process.  Throw a very sick Marcus into the mix, along with the stress of picking out new paint colors for almost the entire house before the painters come in two days and things have been hopping around here.
So let's catch up, shall we?

Randy's parents were barely here so we only grabbed a couple pictures with them.  We'll be seeing more of them in February when we drive down to UT for our annual ski trip.

Alicia flew in with baby Owen who is the most easy going baby known to man.  When he wasn't napping we'd take him out sightseeing or he'd crawl around the house staring at my boys and the chaos that follows in their wake.  Uncle Dan arrived the next day and was the perfect house guest.  He played with my boys, raved about my cooking, always asked if he could help with anything, and did the dishes.  This family can come visit us anytime!
Checking out Pine Lake while the sun made a quick appearance

Of course we had fun playing in the backyard

You're never too old to enjoy Star Wars

We met up with my Aunt Barbara and Uncle John for lunch at Duke's Chowder House.   I love seeing my mom's family!
Playing the Wii-U.  This kid missed 5 days of school from a nasty cold/flu virus.  The number of hours he logged watching TV is mind blowing.

More Wii
We hiked through the rain to check out Snoqualmie Falls.  It was raging

We finished off their last night with a trip to to fro-yo.  That stuff is such a rip off!
We've been busy having fun and now the boys have a day off school so I'm taking them skiing.  All four of them by myself.  It will be an adventure for the books!

  1. How in the world have you had time to blog already? We're still recovering from the best.trip.ever. Seriously - I think we beat the winter blues with that trip. Hoorah! And remind me to send you the pic of all the boys watching American ninja warrior - it's classic. And I love your new family pic at the top - Marcus's face is hilarious.
