It's a Miracle!

I taught Henry how to ski! This is a BIG deal because you can't make Henry do anything he doesn't want to do.  At all.  Ever.  Henry didn't want to ski and the first time we took him was an epic fail.  He just flopped around while Randy and I took turns holding him up by his armpits.  It.Was.The.Worst. My back will never be the same.

Since Randy loves skiing and takes the older boys every chance he gets, I knew I needed to teach Henry myself or Randy would keep ditching me with Henry.  I really love the idea of ALL my boys going skiing together, especially Henry. I did a little research online, filled my pockets with candy for bribes, borrowed a little "wedgie" band that hooks ski tips together, and drove Henry up to the bunny hill myself.  I  mentally prepared myself for battle, similar to what I do when I'm potty training.  Basically, I was determined.  Eventually Henry went down the bunny hill in about 30 seconds which was a huge improvement from the ten minutes it was taking at first.  The secret was having him bend his knees and put his hands on his knees.  Oh, and the little wedgie clip that keeps his ski tips together was a major win too.  By the time Randy arrived with the older boys, Henry was skiing.  I am quite proud of myself because this was no small task.  

Also, Marcus called us so we got to FaceTime him on the bunny hill and it was hilarious.  I love helping Marcus feel like he's a part of things even if he's thousands of miles away.
