Marcus is 17!

 

Marcus turned 17 without us. It’s a sure sign he’s growing up. We didn’t even get to talk to him until late that night because he was too busy. He hates his birthday, being sung too, and all the attention. I think it’s weird but it makes it easy to keep things low-key. I even planned ahead to make sure his gifts were purchased in advance and he was thrilled with his new AirPod Pros. I give it a month before he loses them or puts them through the wash. 

His friends celebrated him at lunch with Costco hotdogs and cake and a few days later all his new guy friends partied the night away at Top Golf. Good things are happening for this boy who isn’t afraid to try new things, makes friends easily, works hard, plays hard, is respectful and responsible, and makes me proud every day.

St. Patrick’s Day is not nearly as much fun without our leprechaun.  Bought these donuts for the boys so we could feel a little festive. We miss Marcus!
