Utah - Again!

Another Utah trip and it didn’t disappoint. Neither did the short flight. We are spoiled but we weren’t there long so driving would’ve been torture.

We had a great time hanging out with my siblings and their kids. The theme of the week was Cousin Fun.  Everyone came over for my dad’s giant pancakes, we celebrated cousin Gabby’s birthday, hiked, and pretty much enjoyed all being together.  Landon and Parker went straight to the Johnson’s and slept there every night until we went up to Randy’s parents.  Luckily I didn’t take many pictures so this won’t be too hard to post about.

End of the hike to the grotto, a cool water fall that I don’t have a picture of.

The Four Amigos

Henry doesn’t like walking and complained that siting in the backpack hurt his “eggs”. 😂

Top Golf Driving Range

As we drove home from the airport, I asked the boys to tell me their favorite part of the trip and they all said Top Golf. It’s a driving range where you reserve a lane kinda like a bowling lane and part of the package deal includes a ton of food. We ate and ate and still had several boxes to take home. And the food was good too! We might have to make this a tradition.  Oh, and the golfing wasn’t bad either. Landon is a natural and Henry attacked the ball with fervor. Luckily no one got hurt!

Marcus the best big brother ever

I don’t think there’s ever been a time when we couldn’t eat all the food in front of us!

Playgrounds with cousins

We played at a couple parks and my boys squinted and suffered in the bright sunshine and complained about the heat. It was 73 degrees the big babies. They also stared at all the kids running around. We haven’t been surrounded by people for a year so it’s still a new feeling that we quickly grew accustomed to. Normalcy is pretty darn great.

So fun!

Utah knows how to provide fun for families. Bountiful Rec Center was fun, didn’t have a million rules, and we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

Henry was in heaven!

An epic basketball game. We were all surprised the lifeguards didn’t intervene we were having that much fun and were that loud.

Playing at Gabby’s birthday party

Landon got to go with Sam on his field trip to Pioneer Village at Lagoon. They had a great time and Parker was thrilled when they returned so he wouldn’t have to play with Henry anymore.

Marcus at Farmington High School, home of the Phoenix. We forgot our masks so I couldn’t go in for a tour. It’s a brand new school and he loves it with his whole heart.

We saw a movie in a theater!  Without masks!! It was probably my favorite thing we did besides ride my dad’s ebikes on the mountain trails. Quiet Place 2 is just as good as the first.
After Top Golf and swimming at a friend’s pool we drove up to Oakley and visited Randy’s parents. They fed us so much good food but the best part was that we got to go to church without masks on. And we even got to sing!  I sang my heart out and belted out the alto part like I was doing a solo and didn’t even care when the lady in front of me turned around to see what the heck was going on. And Henry got to go to Primary for the first time. Technically he’s half-way through his first year of Sunbeams and he’s never actually been. I wish I had taken a picture of him looking all cute and sitting on his tiny chair as he took it all in. What a memory!
